What is Veterinary Rehabilitation?

Veterinary Rehabilitation is an emerging field where therapeutic modalities are used to help reduce pain, restore function and mobility and improve the overall quality of life in our pets. Essentially, we use the same therapeutic principles physiotherapists use to help people to recover from injuries and surgery.

Goals of pet rehabilitation include:

Pain and inflammation reduction

Enhanced range of motion and balance

Improved overall quality of life

Restoration of normal movement and muscle mass

Conditions Treated

Most animals suffering from a chronic inflammatory disease or recovering from an injury can benefit from veterinary rehabilitation or veterinary physio. Our pets play a significant role in our lives. From performing vital farm work and assistance services – to providing essential companionship and support… our pets are part of everyday life. They deserve the best health care possible to keep them in optimal condition for as long as possible.

Our Reviews

Here is what some of our wonderful clients have to say..

dog rehab therapy mudgee

Greg and Emma Dresser

'Billy'

“Billy the Labrador started developing arthritis in his elbows at the age of eight. After being on three types of pain relief we found that Laser Therapy and massage treatment kept Billy active and healthy well into his 14th year. He enjoyed his monthly ‘Spa day’ and the loving attention from Genevieve”

molly dog

Tricia and Derek Dolstra

'Molly'

“Molly was nearly 17 when she tore the ligament in her shoulder, severely impacting her mobility and surgery was not an option. We are so grateful for Genevieve’s expertise that allowed her quality of life for another 2.5 years.”

agility dog conditioning

Lynn Madden

'Agility Dogs'

“My dogs and I adore Dr. Genevieve! I began seeing her for rehab when my agility dog Stormy had shoulder surgery. Thanks to her amazing laser, massage, and rehab plan, we were back to competing in just 6 months. Now, I bring all my dogs to her regularly. My two agility dogs stay in top shape for our sport, while my two older dogs maintain their strength and fitness as they age.”

'Dusty'

“Dusty, our 10yo Aussie Terrier had severe back pain. We found that only regular laser, rehab and massage therapy helped ease her pain. Worked a treat!”
