Meet Genevieve
Originally from South Africa, Genevieve has pursued a passion for animal care and rehabilitation in a career journey that has spanned multiple disciplines. Genevieve started out with a Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland.
She then entered military service as a physiotherapist before later obtaining a Veterinary Science Degree from Gatton (QLD) becoming one of a select few worldwide with dual qualifications in Physiotherapy and Veterinary Medicine. The Central West Rehab Vet Philosophy
Through the practice, Genevieve is dedicated to offering holistic care for pets’ musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. She established Central West Rehab Vet as she could see the need for complimentary services to support traditional veterinary care in maintaining quality of life for pets especially in relation to ongoing treatment for disorders, injury/surgery recovery and preventative care.
The philosophy at Central West Rehab Vet is to be able to offer alternative treatments to clients and patients who would otherwise have no other option for the management of their pain/condition. Genevieve believes every patient deserves access to these therapies with significant improvements seen in…
Extending lifespan.
Allowing them to age gracefully and comfortably.
Returning them back to full function.
Allowing them to participate safely in high level sport and work.
Allowing patients, whose only other alternative was euthanasia, to achieve a new 'normal' function extending their lifespan with their human family.
Qualifications
Genevieve is one of only a handful of people worldwide that hold dual qualifications in the field of Physiotherapy and Veterinary Medicine.
